THE WORLD OF KALUK EXHIBITIONS

The world of Kaluk is a sculptural and multimedia project initiated in 2011 by the artists Ben&Julia and that they still develop to this day.
First presented at the in gallery during the Pictoplasma festival in Berlin, later at La Gaïté Lyrique in Paris and the Modern Art Museum of Monterrey in Mexico, the installation appeals to a wide audience from children to adults fascinated by the power of the imagination in the construction of myths.

The World of Kaluk, open the doors of an imaginary museum where oversized fantasy characters face the difficulties of their times, questioning their animality in a land populated by chimerical characters with strong symbolic charge.

Not content to be labeled for their frequent collaboration with brands, they have proven their talent as visual artists, doing the splits between advertising and art in an approach they define as Artvertising.

Ben&Julia have always devoted the necessary time to their artistic development, allocating part of the studio to purely artistic creation and founding in 2019 the Mauer Gallery in charge of presenting the duo's artistic news and promoting the work of other artists also evolving in the Kidult and Neo-Graffiti universe.

An Idea of Luxury | Hauptbahnhof Zürich
The idea of the imaginary journey as luxury is coupled here with the symbolism of the eye both receiver and emitter.
The essence of the performance was to transport the audience in another universe while on their way to their personal destination, we thought the train station would create the perfect mindset for this journey.
We felt like Méliès while buildong the oversized decors and the design of the costumes.
